Objective: The purpose of this study is to obtain fluorescent zirconia dental material with fluorescence effect similar to natural teeth.
Methods: Colorants and fluorescents were added to zirconia powder, and different colorants were used for color matching. Different fluorescents were used to obtain fluorescence close to natural teeth. The final fluorescent zirconia powder was formed and sintered to obtain the required prosthesis.
Results: It can emit fluorescence close to the natural tooth under the light source with the wavelength of 365 nm, and has excellent mechanical properties. The light transmittance is more than 43%, and the three-point bending strength is more than 500 MPa.
Conclusion: Fluorescent zirconia can meet people's needs for aesthetic effects and mechanical properties at the same time.
