Thermoelectric technology can directly convert thermal energy into electrical energy and vice versa within solid state semiconductor materials. Until now, Bi-Te based materials are the only commercialized composition, which can be used not only for power generation but also cooling device. However, the performance and thermal stability of Bi-Te based materials are limited, so the need to develop other composition for high performance thermoelectric materials has been enhanced. In this work, we have synthesized CrSb-based materials in melting and spark-plasma-sintering method, and measured the thermoelectric properties. The morphologies and thermoelectric properties are analyzed for evaluating the transport mechanism of CrSb-based materials, and the thermal transport properties are analyzed based on Debye-Callaway model. Our understandings will give the possibility of the realization of sustainable energy society.
